Configure your LX desktop (solved)
« on: December 17, 2011, 01:09:30 PM »
In the configure section of the LX desktop I need to install some packages.

Screensaver settings does not work.

Change your cursor theme does not work.

Monitor settings does not work.

These are the last things needed, I think.

TKS all!

Tough question as the Screensaver settings work fine for me!

Don't use the "Cursor theme" settings, as the "GTK and Icon Theme" settings also contains a Mouse pointer setting tab that actually works!

Monitor Settings? Use the PCLOS Control Center.

PCLinuxOS has no wealthy sponsors and can only survive with your donations! Don't wait it might be too late.

Running PCLOS on Athlon II/250 with 2Gb Ram using ASUS M2N68-AM Plus Mobo with Nvidia GF7600GT graphics, and Samsung NC10 Netbook

You need these packages ---
xscreensaver
lxcursor
lxrandr
--- for those.

TKS Neal, everything worked but the cursor, but that's ok as I normally use GTK to do that...

Dave,

I installed LXDE thru the backdoor. I installed openbox first, as it was the only thing I could get to install on this old bone, kept burning coasters of LXDE mini. So installed task-lXDE and have been knitting it together..
