Get LXDE right click menu back
« on: December 13, 2011, 02:50:25 PM »
When ever you lost your right click menu under LXDE, there are four ways to get it back.

1. Use the windows way ()
LXDE Control Center --- Menu > More Applications > Configuration > Configure Your LXDesktop >>> click the Set Wallpaper icon > Advanced tab and untick the "Show Menus" line.

2. Command line way (linux) and windows ()
Open  LXTerminal, and type

Code: [Select]
pcmanfm --desktop-pref

Advanced tab and untick the "Show Menus" line.

3. Absolutely linux way
Open with leafpad the hidden file pcmanfm.conf in /.config/pcmanfm/LXDE/pcmanfm.conf (or /.config/pcmanfm/default/pcmanfm.conf), and change
show_wm_menu=1
to
show_wm_menu=0

You can choose LXTerminal.
Code: [Select]
leafpad ~/.config/pcmanfm/LXDE/pcmanfm.conf

4. With many luck () [simplest way]
In LXDE, right click the desktop, choose Desktop Preferences > Advanced tab and untick the "Show Menus" line.

Now let me introduce the new feature putted by some kind soul:

When I go right click on desktop-->Desktop preferences-->Advanced-->tick on "Show menus provided by window managers when desktop is clicked"

I lose the default menu

and have this one instead:

From this menu I can't revert to the default... :'(

Then look at the first screenshot how to go back unticking "Shew menus provided..." in Advanced tab. ;D
