Wait cursor as application starts ( solved )
« on: December 10, 2011, 04:22:14 AM »
First, I have to say that LXDE is a wonderful - KISS interface ( and blazing fast ).

However, I would like the cursor to change to a Wait ( busy ) cursor as an application loads.  How can this be accomplished?  Without this, it is very easy to try and open an application several time inadvertently.

Solution - Apparently changing from the default them to another which has a "wait" or "busy" cursor defined solved the problem.  I appreciate the folks comments to make me go this route.  It would be very nice if the default cursor theme that loads with LXDE would have this defined.

Thanks

You might try using different cursor themes to see if one of them has this. There are many themes available via Synaptic. I've not tried them all so cannot advise on which to try.
