(Solved) Video4linux

Hello,

I am able to use my webcam with VLC, but not other programs such as Camorama.  In the past, on another distro, I could use Video4linux to make adjustments.

But I cannot find it in Synaptic.  Does PCLinuxOS use something different?  I am a noobie, obviously.

mencoder tv:// -tv device=/dev/video0 vcodec=h264 vb=1300 -ovc lavc -o test.mp4

will create a video names test.mp4 in your home folder...

FYI ......  VLC also records and saves video and snapshots    View menu and tick Advanced controls ....
