(Solved) Raw Lxde test... synaptic warning ?
« on: December 09, 2011, 11:28:01 AM »
keep getting this warning after installing packages on my Raw-Lxde test

Quote
Warning in file "/usr/share/applications/pcmanfm.desktop": usage of MIME type "x-directory/normal" is discouraged ("x-directory" is an old media type that should be replaced with a modern equivalent)

anyone know what I should/could do ?

I would delete the offending text from the file.

In KDE4 for instance, the Dolphin file only has

Code: [Select]
MimeType=inode/directory;
whereas PCManFM has

Code: [Select]
MimeType=x-directory/normal;inode/directory;
I would say it is worth a try ........

This is (probably) fixable the next time that pcmanfm is packaged as it has no effect on usability

On the plus side, its only a warning (warnings can normally be ignored) and I suspect that the pcmanfm devs are already aware.

btw scoundrel are you having fun with RAW?

(ps: I do hope you can understand this, I know you have difficulty sometimes :) LOL)
