No.

From my 'Smoothwall Firewall'  I can use there Ping, Traeroute, and Whois lookup to check your IP..

Pings ok.
Traeroute Times out after six routes.
Whois says it's open DNS.org

As I said I use a Dedicated Firewall (Smoothwall) And I should have looked at the logs last nigh because it's that that's blocking  the connection to you .  :o not sure why  :-\

Maybe because my domain should not respond to pings and the rules of firewall are set to block "non-existing" sites?

I kinda knew (was suspecting) it was the firewall... Oh well :)

Hi pclinmike,

you have to generate a new key for every new maschine. the key is the unique id of each maschine.

Greets
ghostbunny

When I generate the new key for each machine do I put each one in its own folder or do I label each one and have them all in the same folder (I think they go in   /root/.ssh  )
I seem to be getting in a muddle trying to make a key for each machine ... any tips please.
