<Answered>Apt-upgrade Problem
« on: December 03, 2011, 01:11:47 PM »
I had to do a reinstall. My latest copy of KDE DVD had a physical defect. I had to install from a June 6 KDE disk. I have tried to update from 3 different repositories but all fail. I assume this is an aptupgrade problem. Is there a way to update my version of Synaptic from terminal. I do not see aptupgrade in Synaptic and reload fails.

IF it is the KDE 6.2011 disc - you do not need to do the aptupgrade that eas for versions previous to that release.

However , TIME and the distro have Rolled on , its 5 months later, and you need to download the more recent iso release and install from that.

Looks like I misread the disk. It seems to be 2010. I'll have to download a new one. Thanks.
