Didn't work here also but in WineHQ have this steps

So my steps

~Before Install
#  winetricks dcom98 vcrun2008 mono24
~Installed Game
# cd ~/.wine/c/Programme/Runic\ Games/Torchlight/
# wine Torchlight.exe SAFEMODE=1
~ Go to Settings--> Enter desired resolution, select ok and game will error out.
# winecfg
~ Select Graphics-->Emulate virtual desktop | enter resolution for game
# wine Torchlight.exe

Worked flawless for me!

Not sure if it's related to your issues, but I noticed you are using a very old kernel (2.6.38.8)
Have you tried installing a newer one? (perhaps 3.2.18)

SORRY - ANOTHER QUESTION - I installed Adobe Reader on my system and this is now the 'Default' Reader. How do I change it so that Okular is the Default and Adobe the Option??

Go to a pdf file and right click on it > then properties >then File Type Options > then select from the menu the reader you want it to be opened by as default from the list presented and move it to the top of the list. If you move Okular to the top it will be the default reader for those types of files.

Thanks, always worth remembering that although a re-boot on my machine takes less than a minute anyway 8-) and I switch it off 5-10 times a day to save energy.

It has nothing to do with Smooth Tasks, I believe.
I think it is normal for net_applet icon to appear on only one System Tray at a time.

I have Smooth Tasks on my panel (KDE 64bit) and after upgrading to Kernel 3.4.49, net_applet icon has never disappeared across reboots. It only goes away when trying to connect to a different wireless network (other than my home wifi which I use 99% of the time)

I don't mean a system reboot, just log out your desktop session by leaving it.
Then login again and things are fine
