Can't duplicate saltcedar - Synaptic allow installation for me - no error messages showing anyway (kernel 2.6.38.8.pae.bfs)  Didn't follow through with install as it's not an app I need

btnx 0.4.11
btnx-config 0.4.9

If you can keep you head while all around you are losing theirs, then you have misunderstood the situation.

Thanks, I'll look into it again.
Most annoying when you have a multi-button mouse that won't play nice in Linux.

New wrinkle when I just now tried again.
Ok, seems you can have BTNX or Synaptiks not both.
The KDM server won't start with both installed

Ok just found this old thread after having same problem. Installed btnx & btnx-config, got a mesage in synaptic about "requires netfs" or similar, logged out and tried to log in, got message that kde wouldn't start. Tried to reboot without success.  Huh

Addendum: Just rebooted again and PCLOS started up fine. Synaptic runs too, weird...
