I just can't seem to get any desktop effects (3D or otherwise) in the Full Monty KDE version. I have tried the suggestions through out this forum to no success. Are there any plans in the future to Full Monty being able to run Compiz? I tried downloading  what I was told was required through Synaptic and it failed. Dependency problems. Could not even install Emerald. Is there a set of commands for terminal to do this without crashing the system. Also how do I install widgets? I could never figure it out after a couple of hours. I would also like to know how to adjust bottom task bar to be on autohide as in most KDE distributions.
Other than those issues and problems this distribution is one of two (Bodhi being the other) I have had any luck to get to work somewhat with my junky NVIDIA GeForce 7025 / 630a Chipset on my Biostar (crap) N68S3B motherboard. I have 4gb RAM, 500gb Seagate Barracuda 7200 rpm 500 gb hard drive and DDR3 1333 RAM. Thought I would throw in the hardware specs to see if that helps.
I am reasonably happy with this distribution but feel it could be better if one could get the Compiz to work. THANK YOU for your time and consideration.

I can help you with auto hiding the task bar.

1.  right click on any unused portion of the desktop. In the box choose "Unlock Widgets.
2. Click on the cashew at the right end of the taskbar.
3. Click on More settings.
4. Click on auto hide.
5. click on the desktop again as in step 1 and now choose "Lock Widgets"

To Add Widgets

Right Click on an unused portion of the desktop and and click on unlock widgets
Right click again and click on Add Widgets

in the Widgets bar that appears find the widget that you want and Double Click on it

I never knew how to do this stuff in KDE4. I'm thankful for the info.
