Gee, thanks for everyone's feedback. Good to hear other's have had success with this OP. Very interesting to get your feedback.
Yeah good luck francis although this:
"The waiting list is about 12 months" really shocked me!

A few years back when the World fincial crisis 'hit', I stopped my private health insurance.

Of course a bad move as I'm in the "Public Health' system, (Australia) but someone will drop out for sure, and I'll take their place, and get in earlier.

And, because you indicated your uncertainty, the correct spelling is "polyps".
Thanyou sir

I feel a little Narcissistic starting a thread about my upcoming operation:
1. having an undue fascination with oneself; vain.
2.
Psychoanalysis. tending to derive erotic gratification from admiration of one's own physical or mental attributes.
The thread just popped out, again thanks for your replies.
Initially my Doctor thought I had Asthma, or worse.
I was referred to a Respiratory Specialist, who had me do a lung function Test. He found my lung capacity to be very good.
I gave up smoking 4 years ago, and had smoked over twenty years, so it was great to know I hadn't destroyed my lungs, obviously.
Respiratory Specialist referred me to Ear, Nose, and throat specialist, after a CT-Scan of Sinuses, and Lungs.
So it has been diagnosed that allergies are affecting sinuses > they get infected, no outlet except down back of throat, which infect lungs.
I have 'mild damage' from smoking, I wont say not to smoke but I think I was very lucky to just have mild damage.
Had a follow up Lung function test this morning. To compare to results 4 months ago.
If you've never had one, you have to blow down a tube with a diameter around about the size of your fully open mouth. There is no back pressure at all. Not like when you blow up a balloon.
The nurse says; "Keep blowing", and you get to this horrible noise at the bottom of your lungs.
A Computer turns the volume you sucked in, to the volume blown out to a graph. Plus there's probably a bit more to it.
Anyway I actually fainted twice, which was kind of funny, just for maybe two to three seconds.
The nurse said some people do faint, ... anyway I asked, " Am I trying too hard."

Nurse: "Yes, maybe, just relax a bit".
So look after your health, I know sounds a bit cliche' but smoking is not a good thing.
I'll shutup now.
