I installed Wine for the purpose of running one program on my Notebook

When I right click on files, I see "Wine core exe" in "Open with..." menu.

I googled for a solution and found this:
Quote
Delete / move all related with this name in this directory:
~/.local/share/applications/wine-extension*

I see 15 wine-extension* files. delete 'em all?
