Hi,

Probably, most Windows converts seem like they would expect it.  I'm staying with
tint however.   I use lxpanel or xfce4-panel sometimes but not always.

I had tried to install a xfce4-panel for an Openbox full, as I would have liked to give it a try, but was in a hurry to finish with the panel thing and didn't know what components to install along with it. One of these days, would you provide a list to me ?

Well, I'm sticking with tint2 for Openbox. I'll keep the lxpanel for LXDE. I agree with FF. At least one Openbox user has sought out a solution for grouping similar tasks. And Ferdes Fides found two answers.

But, only if you include eye-dessskk for the Edu version. Idesk.

I said I found Idesk complicated to use. Would you want me to use that old program, when PCLinuxOS Edu contains only shiny very new versions of all applications ?

Hi,

Pretty much the same ones with tint2, with the addition of cpu graph,
disk monitor, mem monitor, wireless monitor, and the task bar window
list and volume mixer.   There are several more in Synaptic and I'd
recommend installing them all, they're not too big and appear to work OK.
Whatever one chooses there are a few more choices available then.
