OK guys Ive got the same problem which might be a bios problem pointed out in my last post. the problem since Ive installed PCLinuxOS Is I had set up the bios to show hard-ware settings at boot The boot screen has changed since installing PCLinuxOS  I cant get into the bios even with the original PS2 keyboard connected I DO get an error message when a press F1 at boot which Ive never seen before I dont know  whether this is from bios or PCLinuxOS .when i start the system i can see the lights flash NUM lock  & CAPS lock & SCROLL THE sroll lock light does not work with any of the key boards ive tried .help guys i dont know what to do

The BIOS loads before the PCLinuxOS boot sequence.

Can we clarify which boot screen this is?

Is it the screen you see before the PCLinuxOS menu appears ( similar to this one I've just grabbed off the web)



or the one after the PCLinuxOS boot menu?

I think that the flashing lights would indicate a bios failure of some description. Do you have the mobo's manual?
