Actually, when I think of how many times I have struggled to see a nut or bolt deep under the hood of my car, while I am doing maintenance or repair, this is a great idea!

As a gift, I probably would not turn them down.


But they are not something that I would find to be very useful.

When I am working in an area where you might be inclined to use these, they would not do me any good because when I work in hard to reach or see places, I usually close my eyes.

It helps me to visualize what I am doing. And then I go by feel. I can usually accomplish the job much faster than someone who is trying to see what is happening.

That's the point.  Once the spanner's engaged, you don't need the light.

I always find I need the light, however, to FIND where to engage the spanner.
