I need to replace the wireless card on my desktop. Anyone care to chime in with suggestions for the easiest, most trouble free?

It needs to be a PCI half height card.

BTW, I'm using E17

Thanks

Although It's not a PCI card, I've had good luck with the ZONET ZEW2508 802.11G USB ADAPTER.  I purchased a few of these USB adapters to help friends and family get their PCLOS systems online  And there's the added bonus of easily moving this adapter from PC to PC, you can use it on notebooks too.  They're available from Lin PC HERE (second item on this page).  One note - you must be running the latest kernel, in my case that's 2.6.38.8-pclos1.bfs, earlier kernels don't seem to support the chipset used in this adapter.

If you are still looking for suggestions after a month, my desktop has a Linksys WMP54g wireless card. That brand uses about 4 different chipsets, but mine uses the rt61 and it works flawlessly.

Good luck!!

Expensive?  Undoubtedly.  But if you want something that works, this is it.
