I just downloaded and tried this distro, which I like the look of. However, after installing a couple of programmes to monitor the battery, nothing worked. I logged back in, but still nothing. Any idea? Thanks...............

LKDE? We have KDE, and we have LXDE. Which do you have?

In addition to the desktop environment, i.e. KDE or LXDE, can you also provide the name of the apps you installed and the specs of your hardware (assuming it is a laptop, which brand, what model, or better yet RAM, CPU, etc.).

Different computers, different hardware. For example, the source for the temperature of my CPU could be different from yours.

Just a thought, Neal. Could the gnome-power-manager fix for LXDE be included in the .iso as a default?

Of course, it might just work in LKDE too!  Grin

I'm still waiting to find out what LKDE is. I've never heard of it before.

(tying string around finger to remind me - don't shoot me, if the string breaks) Okay. I will install gnome-power-manager to the ISOs.
