btw, a separate issue. as far as xxxterm or whatever the browser is called, I went to Google images, did a search for some but I couldn't get it to display the full size image. not sure why.
Could be webkit shrinking images by default, have you an example? btw the repo version is at 1.399 - there is a request for 1.489 which adds a lot of new stuff - including ways to make it look and feel like "jumanji" or "vimprobable2" Jase let me download the .iso again and reinstall. I will check xcompmgr. if you just go to google.com, check the images tab, search for whatever, click on one of the thumbnails you'll see.

okay, the problem with windowa not refreshing etc. seems when I tried switching to bora_black. windows no longer refresh properly. just doing a quick check some system themes work fine, others don't.

Could be a couple of things, that xcompmgr is a "basic" compositor, or that an argument needs to be applied to either awm or xcompmgr in order for the travsparency to work. Nice screenie btw Jase

Nice screenie btw Jase thanks, glad you liked. I've used xcompmgr with many distros but you could be right. might be some parameter that needs set. I'll fool with it later

Wow .... I have Your little baby installed and am only using IceWM atm. Loving it - loads of fun. Snappy, configurable simple, yet beautiful and running smooth. There's an article in there. You should talk to parnote. Tell me - why is it still beta? Release the bugger!! Let it free !!

The first thing I do when starting up one of those lighties is to change the keybindings ... and I guess I am not alone. Keybindings is what it makes configurable for the individual. I have certain shortcuts I use and the guy next door might have different ones. I am not sure if you want to spent too much time on that. I use it as my working install right now, testing it under "real life" conditions. Haven't had a problem.

The advantage of gaving the relevant files preset up is that if win+F1 to launch xxxterm is not for the individual then the file already exists for the app to be changed for another, so should make it that bit easier as the files willnot have to be written from scratch Let me know how it goes, xxxterm is under a lot of development atm - its latest version has a "jumanji" mode - take a look in package suggestions for this. Another one.
Once I use SimpleBurn it simply doesn't let go of the cd/dvd tray anymore. Can't open it, no other application can use it. Even a log-out doesn't fix it - only a restart.
Anybody else can confirm this?

Longtom try the the eject function within simpleburn (in the informations tab) Jase That worked - nifty little app. It also rips nicely. However - for ripping and converting I recommend asunder, light, configurable, easy to use. Wouldn't take too much space on a live cd.

Another thing - I am on a role .... In order to change my mouse theme I created a .Xdefaults file in my home folder. In order to change my mouse cursor I added: Xcursor*theme: whiteglass Some font rendering in an application wasn't quite the way I liked it so I added the following lines as well: Xft.antialias: 1 Xft.autohint: 1 Xft.hinting: 1 Xft.hintstyle: hintslight Xft.rgba: rgb
More reporting as events warrant ...
