Well, it's been a few weeks now and after years of distro hopping my opinion of PCLinuxOS is in and......
           IT'S A KEEPER!
I started with KDE, first time I ever used it. I didn't care for it.  I mean, it's nice but too slow for my old machine.
I switched to LXDE and absolutely love it.  Fast, stable, everything I need, and more. I had a few problems but always found the answer here.
My brother is coming down today so I can fix his Vista box, I'm gonna install PCLinuxOS along with it. ( yes, I'm that guy in the family), I think I could completely convert him except for that damn Magic Jack.
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you guys. I really appreciate all the hard work you guys put in to make this distro the best.

Hey.... welcome to the community, Joe Public. It's Texstar and the Bacon Brigade who did most of the work. Most of us here are just the nuisance to keep those coffee gulpers on their toes.

Good to here your plan on converting your brother to Linux. Looking forward to reading your post on how it went.

Great to have you here.  If your bros PC runs Vista then KDE will fly on it Wink  Supposedly Magic Jack was developing drivers for Linux, but havn't heard lately.
