So here is my story.
2006: Narly Nachos Dapper Drake dual booted with Windows XP (Printer wasn't supported) 2006: Bought better printer (HP Officejet) Installed Feisty Fawn (Narly Nachos 7.04) over Windows Windows Free Yay!
Few years down the road ... Been through all the Narly Nachos's up till alot (besides the odd fling with other distros: Linux Mint, PCLINUXOS, etc) stayed with it for about a year.
January this year 2011 switched to Debian Stable (Hated Unity, Hate Gnome3) switched to KDE4, (Their forums are not very friendly people, lots of fighting...don't like that. They also accused me of being a spambot due to my username (I'm not that good at coming up with unique user names) I may change mine but we'll see... So I tried a few other distros too Fedora, Opensuse don't like them. Want a independent community not backed by a company (kind of like Debian but not Debian)
Now (August 1st 2011) tired of outdated software (Debian) Iceweasel firefox-branding was stupid too, said screw it I want new software I only have 2 GB DDRAM don't need 64bit tired of installing distro after distro installed PCLINUXOS KDE MINIME 2011.07 did all the updates nothing broke installed most of the programs/games I like awesome!
I just got back from camping haven't had a chance to see if their are any more updates or not yet still unpacking and haven't had a chance to really use PCLINUXOS yet. I have used it in the past but the distrohopping fever came back now after all these years I'm back with PCLINUXOS and I am glad I did. Hopefully this distro-hopper stopper motto this system has going for it will hold up for me this time around and I won't distro hop anymore.
Also one last thing, this Linux system is the only one where the name actually makes sense. PCLINUXOS a Linux Operating System for your PC. Makes sense doesn't it? I was having a conversation about Linux a few months back with someone who hasn't heard of it and I mentioned Narly Nachos at the time and just saying the name doesn't sound right. Now I will mention PCLINUXOS to anyone who asks and I think it will make more sense.
Thanks a lot Texstar keep up the awesome work.

Nice story linuxforever00! At this point in time I could not imagine running any other OS. PCLinuxOS KDE runs so fast and has been so problem free that it has a permanent place on my hard drive. I really have no desire to try other operating systems anymore because the best of everything is right here.

Great to have you here! Accused of being a spambot? Didn't know spambots could respond with extended dialogue on forums. Probably were just trying to yank your chain. Very friendly forum here.

Someone chain linuxforever00 to the Sandbox before he/she starts distro-hopping again. Welcome back, linuxforever00 ... stick around the forum and you'll see why PCLinuxOS is even better than most distros.

Welcome back, linuxforever00 ... stick around the forum and you'll see why PCLinuxOS is even better than most distros. I have to agree with Archie! I recently upgraded my graphics card thanks to my Dad, and the community really helped me out with my questions. There are some very experienced and knowledgeable people around here. I honestly feel that the best Linux has to offer is right here.

Anyone got any username ideas please throw them at me. Maybe I'll use a pen name like authors do instead of a username that people can't tell what gender I am lol. Chaining me to the sandbox lol I like that.

How about Andy Peacock?? And there's a very good explanation for the name. I think I'll pass on that one, I'm working on a pen name to use, I plan on doing some writing too anyways.

linuxdude? Mark Twain? Anyway, welcome to the forums. From a long time PCLinuxOS user, you'll find this is one of the most stable distributions there is.

PCLinuxOS has no wealthy sponsors and can only survive with your donations! Don't wait it might be too late.

"Razmataz" The more distros you try, the more you'll appreciate PCLOS. As for the people here... eh they're alright.
