Hey, just came over from Linux Mint and pretty impressed. Been using Linux with Gnome full-time at home since February, 2008. First time installing KDE based distro and quite impressed. Used several KDE live CD/DVDs yet this is the first time one actually got installed. Just wanted to say "Great Job" to all involved with PCLOS. Like how everything "just works" and everything I needed was installed (gstreamer codecs mostly for music). Great looking forum and awesome distribution.

Hi Buzzkiller - big welcome to the forum lovely to have you with us. We often spend time in the Sandbox area of the forum posting oddities and having a giggle so please join us there. Just in case you are unaware, PCLinuxOS does a very good monthly magazine which always has some very good articles in it. You can get it from: http://pclosmag.com/html/enter.html

Welcome to the community, Buzzkiller. I also noticed from the many welcomes that there are quite a handful of users coming in from Mint.
We hope you have a great ride in using PCLinuxOS.

Welcome to the community, Buzzkiller. I also noticed from the many welcomes that there are quite a handful of users coming in from Mint. Yeah, guess where I came from! Edit: I should have come here a long time ago! I have had 5 months with a perfectly running system since making the switch and I couldn't be happier. This is by far the best built operating system I have ever used and it is here to stay on my hard drive. I can actually use my computer now instead of fixing it all the time and thanks to the community, I have started collecting music again. I give PCLinuxOS my highest recommendation to anyone interested in Linux and now two of my co-workers are running PCLinuxOS KDE on their computers!

Plus an ardent advocate of PCLinuxOS.
