you should put long outputs inside "code" tags for easy readability. The code tag can be activated by clicking the "#" icon when you are in the posting mode.

system logs may have clues why it is failing to connect.

Follow these instructions and see if it will work

1. Open the terminal and log in as root.
2. Run this command: service syslog restart
3. Run this command: echo "" > /var/log/syslog
4. Run this command: iptables -I OUTPUT -j ACCEPT
5. Try to set up the connection the way you did before
6. Run this command when it fail to connect and post its output: cat /var/log/syslog

i asked them in customer service they said there is no need to put PIN

even if pin is not needed in winzows it doesn't hurt to insert the default  pin (*) when you are configuring your modem in pclinuxos.
(*) go to etisalat site/mobile internet/faq and search for pin.
another thing: all mobile internet providers i know have also a default user name and password...

I have a ZTE which works fine out of the box, so I don't think it's a driver/pclos problem. I suspect it's a difference between how pclos thinks your access point needs to be set up and the actual set up - could be something as simple as the phone number being changed.

As it works in Windows, have you tried connecting in Windows and then opening up all the network connection properties to see how it's set up there? Then you could go into "unlisted - edit manually" and set it up the same.

Worth a try.

I have the card (MF190) ZTE,Incorporated ZTE WCDMA Technologies MSM and it is working in windows fine and like in the last post if I look at the set up in windows that which can be seen in linux is the same but it fails for AUTH

In windows the default and now my own with dns choices has options for Auth  (chap  or   pap)  and dtac uses chap were as AIS uses pap here - I need chap - in umtsmon I have nether option and that is the problem I think. 

I can see a nice signal and it wants to connect but fails Auth because the only option for auth is yes or no and no will not work and yes must be the wrong one for dtac which is a listed setup when doing the set up but only states the access point and no other information or options - again no info on auth was there or options showing anywhere.  In umtsmon if I make a profile it does not provide for setting auth chap or pap only yes or no and that seems incomplete to me if there or more then one option when it is yes.

Looking for a workaround.
