unable to connect to other shares on home network.

I am unable to connect to other network members on my home network. Pclinuxos sees them just fine but asks for user-name and password. I don't use user-names and passwords on my home network and am stumped. suggestions appreciated.

pclinuxos is asked for a user name and password when it wants to access shares from other computers. What about those other computers? Are they also asked for the same info or only pclinuxos is asked when they want to connnect?

THE OTHER NETWORK PC'S DON REQUIRE PASSWORDS INSIDE THE NETWORK EXCEPT FOR MY NETWEAR HARDDRIVE I USE TO STORE PHOTOS ON.

your output says the only computer with the problem is the one who has a name of "STORA", the rest should work as expected.

The problem you have may be solved by doing the following:

 open "pcc -> network and internet -> hosts definitions", click "add" and then add those computer names and their associated IP addresses and try again.

in your case, an example of a host name is "SYNTAX" and its IP address is "192.168.1.129"
