Has anyone tried out VGA_Switcheroo?

Anyone? I did not find any special topic on vga_switcheroo, so I wonder if somebody has tried it out in PCLinuxOS.

To answer your question, yes, but I haven't got it to work with any pclos kernel. I have a custom-compiled 2.6.36 which works on my laptop (see my sig.) I need CONFIG_RADEON_KMS (if memory serves) which pclos doesn't compile, and later kernels with that option don't let X start. That's my experience. Yours might vary.

Of course, I can't get a working remaster with my custom kernel because it either isn't compatible with mylivecd or lacks a necessary patch. That's a nuisance, but otherwise everything works. (I haven't tested the webcam, so maybe I should say everything except, possibly, that.)

Thanks for the info. I will try it later on my laptop and report my results here so others can see it. Oh, I almost forgot it, my laptop is a Lenovo ideapad U460 which has an integrated Intel GPU and a discrete nvidia 305M graphics card.
