1] Printer:Print network configuration page from the printer control panel:
From the Home screen, touch right arrow , and then select Setup. Touch Reports, and then select Network Configuration Page.
Check printer's IP.

2] Ping your printer:Open Konsole, copy/paste:
ping 192.168.xxx.xx
[where 192.168.xxx.xx is IP of your printer. Post back results]
3] PCLinuxOS configuration:Press Alt+F2, enter pcc, type your password. Go to Hardware/Configure printing and scanning/Set up the printer...
Click Add printer/Network printer/AppSocket/HP JetDirect.
Location of the network printer:
Host: enter IP of your printer
Port number: 9100

and it should find your printer. The correct driver is

4] Scanning:Install Xsane or Skanlite. Both programs should detect your printer.
