Not sure why but I have tried several times today to download the July issue without success. When I click on the pdf file, it starts to download very very slowly at around 14 kb/s over a broadband connection. After it gets to about 60%, it drops out and loses the download.

I will try again at around 0600 NZST time tomorrow and see if it is any faster then.

I continued to have difficulty with downloading the pdf copy. I also tried the alternative link that Texstar suggested, without success. Finally, I sent a personal message to our super efficient editor and he was able to help me . Thanks Paul, I can now sit back and study our favourite magazine at my leisure.

Have you been following the series about Scribus in the magazine written by meemaw? Scribus is the program parnote uses to produce the magazine. Meemaw's articles are really wonderful. Like most programs How To's can be approached in different ways. What to do and the order to do it in can be different.  I have found her series very easy to follow. Each month she gives just enough to not be overwhelming. Each new lesson builds on the previous one.  I may not need to know all the things to help build my pages, but I have enjoyed reading Meemaw's easy to follow directions and have learned many new things.

Thanks Meemaw.  Smiley
