It's global warming that's making us see things that aren't there. Let me think about that for a second. Nope, I was just imagining it! Grin

Dang it! Wish I could remember the new "politically correct" phrase for global warming.....  Grin

Man I wish I could remember.... One of my friends at work is real into politics and he always keeps me current on this stuff. The "global warming" is a big joke around my factory. Anything that goes wrong is the result of global warming!  Grin Sometime I will have to tell you about the young woman we call "pill bottle". The company I work for hires some crazy people!

No, I work for these guys.

You would be amazed by the computer system that tests the dashboards on a moving assembly line! 16 stations and blade servers and the system generates reports for everything. Two huge monitors on both sides of the line even display the lines goals, the station that has the line down and where the line is in meeting it's goal.

I'd like to guess...

"Earn money from the air"?
"We are the bosses and you believe what we say"?
"I am green having six cars and voting for sending troops to oil regions"?
"Whatever give me more!"?

@exploder:

Stoneridge eh. I had a job interview with them a few years ago. In Dundee, Scotland. I didn't get the job, but they said I almost had it. Guess I wasn't crazy enough eh!

LOL!  Yup, my wife thought it was pretty cool...I hadn't noticed the musical jingles that play when boot is complete, and during some other operations.  A very nice touch, I must say.

I've nearly got the system where I want.  I updated (no problems), and learned how to move files by attaining root in Dolphin (I had to reinstall Puppy files).
PCLOS picked up my printer right away.  In other distros, I have had to search around for the right driver.  Of course, I'm outta ink.  Grin

Since I'm behind a router, I decided to leave the software firewall off...failed Shields UP!, but due to port 113 only being closed.  (reminder to self: set up port 113 to bounce to no-man's land...but probably not necessary).

No need to bounced them anywhere, just set it up so they are silently dropped.

I haven't tested everything yet, but so far is is surprisingly smooth.
I need to find a DVD ripping program (that will get past copy protection) so I can backup more of my 3 year-old's videos (toddlers can break anything...even rebar...  Wink ).  Will have to do some searching.

Wow, Germany, New Zealand...nice.
Winter!  Brrr...well, we have been having some darn hot days here in Michigan USA.  Low to mid 90's (um...about 35C for you guys, I think...my math is rusty...)

Thanks for the warm welcome!
Gotta run...
