I read on Twitter this morning about the huge number of packages being built in preparation of the x64 release and I just had to say thanks. It takes a lot of very hard work to make the x64 release happen but I am certain it will be just one more reason to choose PCLinuxOS. There are a big choice of desktop environments and window managers around here now and they just get better and better with each new release. I appreciate all of the work that goes into the making of all these editions and the quality of the releases. I have to admit that I am anxious to try out the x64 version when it comes out. I see how quick and resource friendly the 32 bit version of PCLinuxOS is and a x64 edition is really going to be fun to try! Anyway, I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for all of the hard work and efforts to make a x64 release possible. Texstar you have to be the hardest working developer on the planet! Thank you!

You just don't see developers like Texstar everyday. I just wanted him to know how much the hard work he does is appreciated. There is no review, article or DistroWatch ranking that takes the place of what real people that use PCLinuxOS have to say about the work that is done. Sure, there are some nice reviews but often they miss a lot of key features that are built into PCLinuxOS that makes things so nice. There are so many that have no idea that all of the packages in the repos are built from source and just how much time and effort goes into building all of the packages that make PCLinuxOS. There are a lot of packages here that work but do not work right in other distributions. Texstar was joking when he answered the question about what does PCLinuxOS have that those other 2 distros don't but we are all fortunate for the answer that he provided.  Grin Run another distribution for a while and you will see just how very fortunate we are. I just wanted to say thanks!

You eloquently stated what many of us wanted to say, Don.

There's nothing more splendid than for users, especially ones who've been using PCLinuxOS for many years, to have another reason to stick around. The truth be ... what does PCLinuxOS have that other distros don't? We got Texstar and the Bacon Brigade! And we're proud of it!
