I have a latest lenovo laptop, everything is working fine except HDMI. Do I need to execute any special instructions or install any packs to get it working. Can anyone let me know?

I have been trying to get audio working in HDMI myself, video worked ok.
To start can you please give the specs of your notebook, and what version of PCLinuxOS you are using? The more knowledgeable (then me) people will be able to help you then!

I just tried HDMI on my Gateway laptop. Video is flawless, audio was a no go.

Hdmi audio and video is working flawlessly here. Newer nvidia card. Latest nvidia driver from repo. Had to activate pulseaudio to get audio in latest MythTV 0.25,

cheers,

Got it. Turns out after activating Pulse Audio under Sound in Hardware I just had to up the Prefer setting under System Settings/Multimedia/Phonon. Worse like a charm now.

I had to use the Phonon under System Settings.
First plug in the HDMI cable to both your computer and your TV.
Next go to the Phonon section and move the HDMI audio up the list so it is at the top of list( THis I assume makes it the 1st priority on the system)
Use your volume control on your menu bar, and switch to the correct tab for the hdmi card.
It should work no problems. I did not need to start up any pulse audio either.
Hope this helps.
