Not sure if this should be in the "Tips and Tricks" section.  If anybody finds it worthy - move it.

Since the Iron browser in our repos has been updated to the latest Linux version and I always had a bit of a tight stomach with Chromium I wanted to make a move to Iron - if possible without much pain of reconfiguring etc.
So when I downloaded Iron and opened it - it didn't, but chromium did.  Looking for an Iron config folder was not successful and even I could figure it out that Iron is using the chromium config files in ~/.config/chromium .

This is what I did to change this:

- rename your ~/.config/chromium folder to something else like ~/.config/chromium_old

- Start Iron once and close it again.

- copy your files from ~/.config/chromium_old to ~/.config/chromium, which has been recreated, but let not overwrite anything

- start iron.  You might get a message telling you that some of your extensions are for a newer version of Chromium.

- Restart Iron.  If message persist, remove offending extensions and reinstall them from the Chrome webstore.

- Clean the cache.

That did it for me.  My extensions are Speed Dial, Cricwaves, Download All, Sexy Undo Close Tab, Save as PDF, YouTube downloader and download assistant - so I can only vouch for those.

PCLinuxOS fully updated with LXDE Mini and Phoenix Mini.

Chances are you have a high success rate with others as well.

Any problems speak up so we can get a broader picture.
