I have a fully updated install of PCLinuxOS on my desktop.

I tried searching Synaptic. Only thing there is 'getvirtualbox' the script that will install it. I installed the script.

I ran getvirtualbox in a terminal after 'su' / password routine. It says that I have no internet connection. But the fact that I am able to post this thing proves that I do  Grin

So what to do now?

It's possibly being updated to Version 4.0.10 so the link may have of been "removed" for a short while

If you can keep you head while all around you are losing theirs, then you have misunderstood the situation.

You can always go to virtualbox.org and download and run their runtime package. That is all that getvirtualbox does.

Yep, it's probably looking for a version that isn't there.

What is the exact error message you are getting sling-shot?  Can you cut/paste the text?
