Numlock stopping
«
on:

I am running the Gnome version and although in PCC the numlock is selected to start at boot it is stopping.
The sequence is on at grub, shows starting during boot OK, is on at the password screen but then goes off before the desktop is running. I have checked the installed keyboard which is correct as Dell 105 key. In PCC if the start toggle is selected then it starts again.

Running LXDE and have noticed the numlock coming off occasionally, weird, but I hit the numlock key and all is "right" again. It can be pretty annoying at times if you're not paying attention when entering a password .

wierdwolf: Don't know if you ever found a solution, but here's what I finally came up with to keep the number lock turned on in LXDE when I log in:
Open PCManFM. Go to: /home/username/.config/autostart and right click on the LXAutostart icon.
Open it with Leafpad or another a text editor.
Scroll down to the line that says: "Exec=/home/username/.config/lxautostart/lxautostart.sh" and add the following line right below it:
Exec=/usr/bin/enable_X11_numlock
Click save. It may not be necessary, but I rebooted. When I logged back in, the number lock stayed on.

That solution from zerocool used to work, but for some reason it doesn't anymore . . . at least it doesn't for me.
