I don't do Windows

Thanks, tuxalish. I realized my error after the iso wouldn't boot, of course.  Embarrassed Wink I've since updated to a newer kernel. With a newer kernel, you don't even need to use the --xz mylivecd option.

What version are you using luikki, I just updated mine today to 0.9.4-4pclos2011. Now I get this error, not in the previous version.

Just to clarify - it is simply a warning and does not affect the ability to create or run a LiveCD. I will disable the output on the next update. It does not show on my system. Cheesy

Thank you for the reply Texstar, I being simple minded, sometimes a simple warning looks like a warning of a impending melt down. LOL  Cheesy Grin Wink Cool Shocked Tongue

Awesome friggin' work on the new MyliveCD, just too sweet for a minimalist like me, my machine had over 20 mb's of the apt cache bin files. The re-master I did today came in waaaay smaller than my last, 352.2 mb and boots faster for some reason too than the last 365 mb version I did.

Dang fine work, artistry in fact, well done. Smiley

Yes, it was kind of a PITA to keep going back in to /var/cache/apt/ to rm those two buggers.. but then on the other hand it took me months to mesmorize all the steps to clean up the works for mylivecd time... Now what ever shall I do?  Guess that leaves me mo' time to get into some udder trouble, eh??

My problems gone away too. Working nicely now, LiveCD boot / environment seems fast.

Only one strange thing though. Previous remasters picked up my Toshiba Tecra M11 display perfectly (1366x768) but last few remasters boot into 1024x768. Thus screen resolution detection has regressed a little. It's fine though, just install and config in PCC->Hardware->Video and it all works like a charm.

My whole system seems to be running very well again. I had a bit of a bad stretch when I did some major updates (glibc and so on) when I had VBox installed, 3.2.12 (generic .run) from Oracle's website. The system was slow and crashing on several PCs, more with Intel laptops than AMD desktops though. I just put it down to heavy movement in prep for 2011. Removed 3.2 and installed 4.0.8 et voila, magnifique!

All running well now! Just waiting for 4.6.4 to hit my mirror and I'm sealing a release (corporate re-spin + lots of my own features to systematize our office).

Ran a new one yesterday for an iso I made with Clamav/Clamtk as part of the sytem, got some odd error messages as it was disabling services not needed on the liveCD about freshclam needing services running etc., i'm assuming these can be ignored?

You must have installed clamd, the daemon that runs in the background. Yes, those messages are normal. After mylivecd finishes, it restarts the services it stopped.

I have a similar problem, the Nvidia driver isn't initializing on my Live-USB, I have to run nvidia-xconfig to get the driver to work. But I think it's my video card, PNY GTX 550 Ti, on my other machine, PNY GForce 6600, it works perfect. No big deal having to run nvidia-xconfig. I wonder if anyone else who run a Nvidia GTX 550 Ti have this happen too?
