I've done another ISO which is pretty much a bare bones affair.. Managed to get the puppy down to around 550MB.  It has no browser, no email client, no video or music apps, nada.. just e17 on top of pclos.  Customized images for grub, boot splash, login and desktop based on brushed metal theme from the default.edj... for those wanting to start with only the bare system and wanting to build it your way, take a peek..  You can find it on my server here

Thanks for this.  How much space does it take after fully installed?

It was created from an install that was using 1.8 GB of space.   Wink

One comment from someone who downloaded the ISO...  you will need to create a symlink in /etc/ linking back to /var/lib/alsa/asound.state for the sound mixer settings to be reloaded on boot.  Tex is working on a fix for that as I type with new packages.  In the event your install doesn't have the file in question do the following..

open terminal, su to root, cd /etc/  and type ln -s /var/lib/alsa/asound.state asound.state   Enlightenment looks for the mixer settings in /etc rather than /var/lib/ like other desktops..  I will create the symlink in /etc for future reference..

Very nice. I installed the iso, added several packages and it works better than most of the popular Linux Distributions. Thank you. Wink

Thank Tex and all the packagers for making it all possible.  I love creating ISO's and I'm learning how to theme them out now.. I try to make one a month so it's not so far behind on updates for anyone wishing to start with e17 and go from there.  I've left off all apps that would carry my influence so the user can choose his own..  I may just do a server ISO with e17, apache, webmin, awstats, ftp server... you get the picture..  A lamp on a disc, ready to go..  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
