gezza,

I'm a little rusty on madm, so I'll have to review the man pages.

Have you done any monitoring on the arrays that are acting up? Also, how are those arrays configured? (#of drives and RAID level) What are the contents of the acting up arrays' /etc/mdadm.conf files?

Hi to all,
I will do an install and upgrade on a single disk--no raid or LVM,--lets see if that works.

I use Kget to download an iso to my iso directory

Then I check the MD5 sum with Awesum

This combo seems to ensure I usually get a good download and that all is well before a slow burn

Hi to all,
I did speak to my ISP and they obviously spoke to Telstra (the Telephone lines people) and although no one has said anything to me, The system is working again. On ws2, the machine with raid6 drives, I have D/L'd Full Monty 2011.4 in 2 hours with no hang ups. That is par for the course.
Thank you all for your help with this problem. Telephone companies have a lot to answer for.

Not that they will, but, hey, it works!
