Hello friends
My English is not very good, I will try to explain it
I'm trying to usb.
These are the steps I followed him.
Download the version of virtualbox oracle.
Installing guest additions.
Install the virtualbox extension extension pack
Enable USB controller
enable usb 2.0 driver
In filtering USB devices, USB memory enable I want to use
start Wid0ws  xp in virtualbox
Usb not working, usb not detected in wid0ws xp, but if detected virtualbox usb devices
What is the problem?

IN virtualbox usb devices are detected with a gray color

Bit more info please.

Did you install Virtualbox using getvirtualbox from the repo?

If you haven't already done so you could try rebooting and see whether that helps

Make sure the USB device does not mount in PCLOS .......  if it does it will not be available to the VBox guest

Hello,

if you are trying to boot a guest OS from usb this is not going to work, as far as I know this is not supported from VirtualBox.

Open VirtualBox Manager (host GUI interface),

Top menu -> File -> Preferences -> Extension.

what you have here ?
should be "Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack 4.0.8r71778"

You mentioned in your OP

I don't think you should need to install the extension pack as I believe? Tex modified the getvirtualbox script to install the Extension Pack whilst Virtualbox 4.0.8 was being installed.

I tested with a mobile phone and a usb memory
  because virtualbox and it detects my usb devices xp wid0ws not?
