Install the virtualbox extension extension pack Enable USB controller enable usb 2.0 driver In filtering USB devices, USB memory enable I want to use start Wid0ws xp in virtualbox Usb not working, usb not detected in wid0ws xp, but if detected virtualbox usb devices What is the problem? Bit more info please.
Did you install Virtualbox using getvirtualbox from the repo?
If you haven't already done so you could try rebooting and see whether that helps

Hello,
if you are trying to boot a guest OS from usb this is not going to work, as far as I know this is not supported from VirtualBox.

Open VirtualBox Manager (host GUI interface),
Top menu -> File -> Preferences -> Extension.
what you have here ? should be "Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack 4.0.8r71778"

You mentioned in your OP Download the version of virtualbox oracle. Installing guest additions. Install the virtualbox extension extension packI don't think you should need to install the extension pack as I believe? Tex modified the getvirtualbox script to install the Extension Pack whilst Virtualbox 4.0.8 was being installed. Are you adding your USB Stick using the following method - see image:
