Nice shot aguila!!! I'm currently watching some purple swallows checking out nesting boxes around the Forest Service building where I work. Hope to have a nice shot or two to add to the collection.  Filthy little hobbitses. They stole it from us.

Maybe we need to start a bird thread?  I got a shot yesterday of an Indigo Bunting that just started roosting here, there was also a Painted Bunting but he flew before I could snap, gorgeous little birds, the buntings are members of the cardinal family which we also have in profusion here, they were all in the chicken pen having a snack at the same time, bright red, bright blue, and rainbow colored, it was really pretty to watch. Wish I had a DSLR too, my little Canon point and shoot doesn't do so hot at full 24x digital zoom.  |

I captured this orange crowned warbler in a tree next door... I'm using a Pentax K-x with a 500 mm Rokinon mirror lense to get the closeups from far away... Will be putting all my Nikon stuff up for sale soon as I want to get the Pentax K-5..  and I'm working on this next ISO... might put the new theme out on the server if anyone is interested... Censored Stamp not in theme...LOL  |
