Homepage looks normal to me. Try deleting your cache and restarting firefox. That may clear it up.

Neither of them made a difference Sad  I did restart the system and when I open Firefox it opened a window saying thanks for updating Flash.  Strange I haven't done any updates to this machine in the past 3 days.  Anyway it is working as it should be.  I think this machine has a mind of it's own.  Thanks Neal for your suggestions.

Weird. What site or sites did you visit before the homepage?

well quite a few places like

pclinuxoshelp.com
pclosusers.com
oaklane.linuxguy.ws
this web site
Goldwingfacts.com
weather.com
craigslist
ebay
va.gov
back here

No new web sites that I haven't been to before, though not in any particular order. Oh well a reboot took care of the issue.

PCLinuxOS - Heck Yeah !

Holy cow!
I can't believe the responses to what I really intended as a constructive suggestion.
Obviously folks with seniority think this was a bitchy complaining post & disagree that pclinuxos.com could benefit from updated info. Fine.
I was trying to help. Really.
Enough said.
I take the intent johnmart had to start this thread positive. I take the response he got a learning experience for  johnmart.
If PCLinuxOS was a commercial product the main page is probably real important, catch the buyer's eye.
I see both sides of this, there's only one side, lol.  Wink

"
That makes sense, didn't know. I have seen it before the keys to the server shared to a crazed loon who seemed fine, but wasn't.
So a pat on the back to johnmart for his positivity at wanting to make his favourite Software seem bold and expressive.
Compared to a year ago I have to say the "front/Main/first page" and the formatting is very cool, easy to navigate, and like most freeware leads to - Da Da - ... The Forum.
Also the download page for the various flavours of PCLOS, Magazine, etc.

It's taken me awhile to realise things aren't always what they seem, in the Forum, but the help Texstar has given me, out of the blue has given me great faith that PCLinuxOS is in safe hands, and my install.
Whether it kills him or not is another question, although actually the Question was, "The Main Page".

I've learnt heaps regarding this thread, and just as quickly put it way way in the back of my mind.

Anyone feel johnmart was treated in a confusing manner, from his perspective ? Iḿ interested, kind of, vaguely.
