I cannot suspend using System -> Suspend

By "cannot suspend" I mean nothing happens. A message saying that it is suspending sometimes comes up, but usually I see nothing. There is nothing added to dmesg. If I have set "lock on suspend" then it locks, but does not susped.

I can suspend using pm-suspend from the command line or Everything Starter, but that does not let me lock as well.

Ideally I would like to fix the GUI as well, but a command line way of locking would be enough for now (so I can lock and suspend from the terminal at least).

I found the answer here:

http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php/topic,77216.0.html

Change the lines in /etc/enlightenment/sysactions.conf that use acpitools to use pm-suspend pm-hibernate

Graemep,
Thanks for your post. You solved th problem for me. I realy like E17. I installed Task Enlightenment on KDE4.+. Works very well.
Cheers. Ray
