I have a HP laptop.I want to duel boot Piclinuxos with Windows.

Partition layout
sda1-System
sda2 C Drive
sda3 Recovery Partition
sda 4 HP tools (hidden)

I have all the recovey Disks

Can I delete the hidden Partition and the Recovery Partition. resize sda2 and make a logic partition for PclionuxOS ? install PclinuxOs set boot to sda1.

On a OEM edition install I only have one Partition. What does the System Partition do ? will the new install effect the system Partition  ?

Ok give it a shot

There was a Program in HP Recovery to remove the recovery Partition.Deleted the HP Tools Partition( not really needed) Resized the Partitions for a Linux Install.

PclinuxOS 2010.12 installed with no problems, except no sound(will work on that) Picked up Wireless and Video.Did not do the Updates yet. will try tomorrow.
