The truth is out there ... PCLinuxOS!

« on: February 28, 2011, 09:40:57 PM »

The PCLinuxOS Magazine staff is pleased to announce the release of the March 2011 issue of the PCLinuxOS Magazine. The PCLinuxOS Magazine is a product of the PCLinuxOS community, published by volunteers from the community. The magazine is lead by Paul Arnote, Chief Editor, and Assistant Editors Andrew Strick and Meemaw. The PCLinuxOS Magazine is released under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-Share-Alike 3.0 Unported license, and some rights are reserved.

In the March 2011 issue:

* e17: System Panel, Part 3
* e17: Configure Everything To Do Everything
* e17: Running Ecomorph
* Using Scribus, Part 3: Text! Text! Text!
* Video: Part 1 - Time Shifting TV Programs
* Video: Part 2 - Editing Your Recorded Video
* Avidemux Under PCLinuxOS
* PCLinuxOS & Linux In Greece
* New Forum Launched: PCLinuxOS Kids
* Ladies Of PCLinuxOS: ms_meme
* Synaptic & The Repositories
* Free At Last! LibreOffice 3.3 Released
* WindowMaker On PCLinuxOS: The Basics
* Alternate OS: Icaros, Part 1
* And much more!

This month's cover art is by Assistant Editor Meemaw, and commemorates the "Roman Holiday" that recently swept through the PCLinuxOS Forum. Of course, since it is March, there just had to be a touch of Irish mixed in.

Though I already said it in the other thread, I'll say it once again Grin: All of the work done tirelessly and selflessly by each of the magazine's contributers each month is greatly appreciated. The PCLinuxOS Magazine is a constant source of reliable info about PCLOS, and Linux in general. I enjoy reading it each month. Cheesy

To the PCLinuxOS Magazine Staff:

I appreciate all your contributions and giving us, the users (1) a souvenir from this great distro (... that sounded a bit like "Allah is Great" for a moment), (2) lots of helpful articles definitely worth time reading, (3) your time in putting together another informative and entertaining issue.

Thank you.

ms-meme maybe I could have used a better description than "GOOD STUFF"

Perhaps it would have stated better instead of this:

+1

I printed all the GIMP and video editing articles from this issue (and past ones) for the benefit of my wife and son who are both into photo and video editing. I'm sure it will also be great help for them. Smiley

Thank you for all the effort in putting the magazine together. Very much appreciated.

Cheers,

More congratulations! This one was the best ever, so far! Smiley

Love the calendar!  Printed and on the wall.  (But just two "little things"  - white on blue is hard to read at my age and the calendar "bunny" rendered a little too dark for printing well.)
But congrats to Neal on becoming the first ever, inaugural PCLOS calendar bunny in a row!  It'll be worth millions in years to come!

Apart from that, a superb mix of factual content and humour.

I just wish that I had the time and talent to become a contributor.

Again, congratulations to all involved.
