Not all packages cold be fetched. I answered "No" to teh query and then quite Synaptic.  

Using the heanet repo.

Also, update was being run on my Lenovo notebook.  I was updating via wireless.  So, it's possible I may have dropped signal.

ran into the same thing a couple of days ago ..  tried it a bit later and it worked fine then.. might have been doing a sync ..

Remember that sometimes the repo has not finished it's own update, just wait a little and try again.

Had the same the other day - switched repo an all was fine ...

That does happen from time to time.

If you suspect a dropped signal, answer "NO" and then just try to "Apply" again.  It will pick up right from where it left off (maybe open a web browser before "Apply", and test that you're connection is good).
I do this at work, because Websense sometimes decides I'm no longer authenticated.

If it's still a problem, then the suggestions about waiting, etc. are all good, also.
