i just updated my 2011 PCL OS and find that my printer has disappeared.  i went to PC Control Center and the only thing which is available is the Scanner Setup.  The the printer setup is no longer available.

What to do?  Reinstall CUPS?  How?

reinstall printerdrake and task-printing from Synaptic. For some weird reason at least printerdrake seems to have been removed.

Please report back if this doesn't solve the issue.

Torsten!  Thanks for such a quick reply!  i reinstalled both printerdrake and task-printing, but to no avail.

Torsten... i just checked Synaptic again and saw that there is another package called printerdrake and installed it as well and now everything is just fine!
