Just visited an old friend the other day and he was complaining that he couldn't make his cursor stand still. His system had so many virus on it that it would hardly run. i suggested that he try our favorite brand of OS called PCLinuxOS and he said, O.K.! So, 30 minutes later we were inputting his username and password and he was using his new system.
He was really happy to have his mouse back and commented on how well the Desktop looked. After a while he also said he was really happy because the system was so much faster (i suspect it should have been, what with all the virus he had on the old one.) We left his Windoze on his harddisk until he feels comfortable enough to give all of it to his new love (and gets his old files copied somewhere else).
Chalk up another win for PCL! He then mentioned that he was taking care of a couple of kids next door who had this slow computer...
