Are you the guy from the IRC channel who is trying to boot PCLinuxOS using Windows VM software called "Mobalive" ?

As we said on the IRC channel, we can't really help much with Windows VM software.
We suggest you create a LiveCD and try booting that.

Would you mind to try other virtualization software???
=> VirtualBox would be a good possibility I think.....

And did you use the LiveCD to really boot the OS on your hardware (so: turning of pc, putting in CD, starting from PCLinuxOS-cd)
=> do you still get that message then?

You did check the md5sum of the ISO,
and where does the CD stops (do you see the GRUB menu, where you can choose if you want to start PCLinuxOS normal, or in VESA-mode, or doing a media check or....?)

I don't get it Kev1230,
You are trying to boot a live-cd directly or just playing on Windows with some virtual solution?
What did you do exactly before that happened?

Well, I started doing it directly from windows but since it gave me that error, I tryed restarting my pc.. and pressing the usal F12 to boot the USB but after it starts booting it says ' Remove any disks or media and then try again.. '

it doesn't go past this error..

How did you place it on the USB flash drive?

Did you try to boot from the CD??? => press F12 on booting, and select CD/DVD

I used PowerISO to extract it to the USB.

Nope, I boot by pressing F12 at the start then choosing USB-ZIP.

Ah... I see,
You have problem with the media you try. It has nothing to do with PCLinuxOS at all. The problem is that your usb stick either has no boot record or you did something wrongly. BIOS used to show such messages in similar cases.

You cannot copy files from a bootable iso to your usb and expect it to boot!!! The boot record is missing. Burn the iso to a CD maybe CDRW but not copy just the files on it. Burn the ISO as is!

If it's not a rewritable CD you cannot use it again. If you want to use a USB drive/Flash Drive, use Unetbootin.

I doubt Tex made an ISO which not fit on a regular CD. That one must be bad or with a lower capacity.
