Hi Folks. I am messing about with PCLOS inside a Virtual Box 4.02 (tying this in firefox no worries) but i and update my install. When I try Repository Speed Test I get an error "Unable to retrieve new sources.list file." "Verify internet connection and try again.". I have a hunch I may be connected to the internet as Firefox is a happening thing, and that, in my limited experience means the internet is connected. I also opened Synaptic and tried to do a reload. The first screen says downloading x of 11 files. Then another screen comes and says downloading x of 24 files till x =4 then a screen comes up with a load of repo addresses saying could not download some repositories. Synaptic then hangs.

Has any one else tried running PCLOS from Win7 under Virtual Box?

Is there a port I need to open up from within Virtual Box or is there some kind of configuration magic I need to do from the virtual box side?
Thanks

Solved my own problem. Changed Repo to aarnet.edu.au. Now works good. Strange how writing down a proper definition of a problem can provide the key to the solution.

There was a move of the main repository ibiblio (look at the top of every forum page Wink).
Many related threads on this too in the forum - just read.

Repository Speed Test is working the same way here in my PCLOS install. I found if I replace in the file /usr/bin/apt-sources-update in line #80 "texstar" to "pclinoxos" it works.
