After an install  and an attempted upgrade via Synaptic I had multiple duplications so I went through and deleted all of them, then did an upgrade via apt-get. All seemed to do well until the end when I got a message about a duplicate libgadu3.
W: There are multiple versions of "libgadu3" in your system.

This package won't be cleanly updated, unless you leave
only one version. To leave multiple versions installed,
you may remove that warning by setting the following
option in your configuration file:

RPM::Allow-Duplicated { "^libgadu3$"; };

To disable these warnings completely set:

RPM::Allow-Duplicated-Warning "false";

I've rebooted and opened Synaptic and no duplicate shows though I get the above error message. What gives? Any hints?

Thanks,

Run dupelean-gui from the Software menu.

Run dupelean-gui from the Software menu.

Thanks Texstar, I've done that and though it says it removed a duplicate copy I still get the message, both in Synaptic and apt-get

OK, I ended up uninstalling libgadu3 and it also removed pidgen and another file. I then install pidgen and the associated dependencies and that apparently took care of the problem.

Thanks again Texstar.
