I have a Western Digital green drive in my computer as main storage. Boot is a Vertex SSD.

The problem I'm having is with kTorrent not seeing the green drive when it starts up ( it's asleep) and kills the torrents. Is there a way of waking the green drive at boot? I think torrent activity after that should keep it awake.

Paint the drive to some other color  Smiley

Sorry for the above, hdparm should be the command to turn on/off several drive feature, including some related to power management.
see man hdparm fro more info and BE CAREFUL
