I have never seen anything as fast and easy to set up and run as LXDE. If you like bare bones, no bells and whistles desktop organization, even with compiz, LXDE rocks hands down! I love the way I can configure the operation of my desktop. It may not look as cool as KDE4 but in my opinion, it out performs KDE4 in functionality and ease of use!

Thanks Neal for this outstanding desktop that runs over the most outstanding OS that is PCLinuxOS!

So you are deleting your KDE partition?

 Tongue

I am with LXDE on a 10 years old machine at my workplace and have no complaints. Cheesy

 Cheesy Nuff said!

Fits like a glove to netbook, mine is eeepc 1000h, as Openbox has that (un)decorate function to make more space for Ia netpages, and yes - it is  Fast!. Even 450MHz PII(I?) 256MB Fujitsu is useable for browsing...

Keep up the good work, the development dream team!!!

Ps. Compiz makes (un)decorate to vanish, so instead I installed Cairo composite manager to have a little bling without losing those extra millimeters...
