The title says it all really!

I wish to donate (from the UK) and do not really want to open a Google Checkout account that I'm only going to use for PCLinuxOS. This is to minimise the amount of sites that have my financial information, as none of them seem to be secure these days  Sad

I have made this same comment recently in another post, but it was slightly off-topic, so I thought I'd raise it here.

There is a way to pay via PayPal (have to look it up). Maybe the "PayPal donation helper" can relay ....
Some have encountered "weird" problems with PayPal, myself included. That is why Texstar isn't that fond of PayPal (to say the least).

PAYPAL works for me....   if Texstar needs donations then perhaps he might like to reconsider?

From the "Home" page.

" If you are unable to send donations in this manner, you may send Check or Money order drawn on a US bank to:

Bill Reynolds or PCLinuxOS
18618 Cedar Edge Dr.
Spring, Tx 77379

Please note I cannot accept checks or money orders drawn off of non US banks.  My bank now charges a $25.00 USD collection fee.

Also include your email address so we will know who to send PASS access information.

Thanks!
Tex"

Google Checkout is what we use. PayPal is only available upon request but really really prefer Google Checkout.

Google Checkout is what we use. There is no more PayPal. Those who wish to donate will do so and everyone else will just make an excuse.

I liked "Duke" better than "Groundhog day".

No google money account here either for the same reasons as bascule.

PayPal is nice for sending money but not available here.

So,  I just used a postage stamp.  Works a treat.

Can you explain that one?  Huh

I know Western Union isn't the cheapest way to do things but would it work? (Doable, time, pick-up and things like that)

He sent a check by mail from CA to TX? Won't work from Europe though.

I was reluctant to use Google Checkout, too, but on the other hand, if you buy online - and many times today it's the only way to get what you really want instead of only having limited choices - you may have given your account information in much less safe places than Google.

If you have a Google E-Mail-Account you can use that one and don't need to create another account.

So I just took a deep breath and sent my donation via Google Checkout. Less than 24 h after I had my PASS server authorization and can now happily update  Smiley ...once I find some time  Undecided

BTW, Tex, you say "one password per household". How many machines does that include?

Regards,

Aguila

Is that current?

I used it two days ago, "shopping" in the US from Germany. Worked flawlessly.
